This folder contains all of MacTCP development documentation and header files available from Apple. The Actual MacTCP 2.0.2 stack software is available as a retail product in the TCP/IP Connection for Macintosh product (M8113Z) or is available on E•T•O.
Although most of the documentation in this folder has been available from different sources at Apple, the TCP/IP team has now made a concerted effort to collect all this information in one place. The TCP/IP team would like to draw your attention to the following:
MacTCP 1.1 DTS Header Changes Interface changes for Think C developers
MacTCP LAP Tech Note How to write an MDEV for MacTCP 1.1.1
ZapTCP 1.1 Utility to kill dangling open connections
MacTCP 2.0 LAP Tech Note How to write an MDEV for MacTCP 2.0
The TCP/IP team will be updating and including new goodies in future releases of Apple CD-ROMs. Your suggestions for inclusions are welcomed.
If you are interested in writing SNMP agents for your own TCP/IP applications or services, extensions or drivers, please consult the "SNMP Development" folder.
If you should decide to start writing an SNMP agent, please take the time to inform the TPC/IP evangelist Garry Hornbuckle @ HORNBUCKLE1 (or email: HORNBUCKLE1@APPLELINK.APPLE.COM) of this fact, sending him information of the scope and type of agent you are doing.
